My entire experience here has been nothing short of amazing. I have taken advantage of each and every oppurtunity that Union has to offer and that is one peice of advice that I can offer to every graduating senior. Wherever you go, be sure to be open to all the activities and programs and get invovled as much as you can. I came into Union undecided in my major and chose psychology half way throughout my sophomore year. Union really gives all students that oppurtunity to explore and take advantage of the liberal arts education beyond their major. Psychology has been a great major for me! I am hoping to go into something in this field and the teachers have been more than accessible. My favorite psychology course was clinical psychology where each student was given his or her own patient and we had the oppurtunity to conduct clinical tests and diagnos our patient. I am also a history minor which involves taking about half the amount of classes of a major. The surrounding area has great resturants, a mall close by, very accessible transportation, a movie theater, Proctors theater (many great plays and comedians) and a lot to do. Get involved with Schenectady! I have been tutoring at a local elementary school for the past four years and there are many other oppurtunities to get involved. Good luck with everything and again, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR COLLEGE EXPERIENCE!! It really goes by too fast! |
