The tuition is horribly high for out of state students, almost at 30,000 a year and raising. If you are not the type of person who loves to party every night or can become friend with anyone and everyone with little to no effort this is not the school for you. I am a shy person by nature and it takes time for me to open up to people. This has made it especially hard to make friends and have fun. The majority of the girls you will meet still think they are in high school and all have a tan and bleached blond hair, ask any of them and I am sure they will be in a sorority. Frats and Soroitys are huge here and the majority of people participate. If greek like isnt for you you might want to reconsider, or if you are not involved in the athletics department either. Honestly to make your self really thrive here you need to join a sports team, or go greek, or join a club and become seriously involved, otherwise the school is too big and you arent able to really meet people. Also as a freshman you are thrown into huge classes and that also makes in impossible to meet people. Getting involved is really the only way to connect. Most of the dorms are old and gross especially Manzanita, Hassyampa and San Pablo are the newer dorms and are nicer. I would reccommend living on north campus though its a lost easier and closer to central campus. |
