My previous degrees were in English (Cal Poly SLO), Secondary Teaching Credential(CPSU), and Special Education (SJSU). I attended using Walden's "Face to Face" program, with a colleague at the High School where I teach. I found the experience extremely positive, especially compared with my experience getting my teaching credential. The video lectures featured real teachers and were informed by best practices. The online instructures were helpful. The assignments were rigorous, yet broad enough to apply to my students and classes. The portfolio was difficult, but worth while. Not a day goes by that I don't use knowledge I learned from the program. This is a great program for working teachers! My only complaint is that it was expensive. |
