I read a couple of comments about some negative stigma about attending National so I wanted to give my perspective. I attended a couple of junior colleges in the OC and the UC system before signing up for National. I wasn't too successful at the traditonal schools and eventually dropped out (due to being young and lack of direction). My work (aerospace) paid for college so I signed back up and started my National education. It was convenient because they offered evening courses by my place of employement in L.A. Unfortunately, I left that job and could not pay the National (private college) fees myself so never finished my undergrad degree. 10 years later though, I found myself wealthy and wanted to complete my degree. I signed back up at National and finished my under grad with their online classes (which is an awesome format). I then went on to obtain an MBA from UCI. I'm giving this background so people will know I have experience with the various schools and formats.

National is for serious learners and not for young people looking for the "college experience". Once you understand this, you will excel if learning is your objective. A couple of interesting facts about National is that they produce 1 out of every 4 teachers in California. Their endowment is also larger than any of the San Diego traditional schools mentioned in these reviews. I also like how they cater to the military and help our vets utilize their hard earned G.I. Bill benefits. In a nutshell, they make it convenient to help students learn and better themselves through education. It's true their tuition is higher than regular UC/CSU colleges, but you are paying for the convenience factor. The professors I've experienced are also better than the ones I encountered in the CSU system. They employ "working" type of professors that have real world experience. Only professors I had at the UCI Business School (graduate level) could compare to some of the ones I had at National. It makes a huge difference. The majority of professors I had in the CSU system (especially math) could hardly speak English and it greatly hampered my learning.

I hope this review wasn't too biased as my goal was to provide one students experience with the various schools.
