It is mistaken for an Ivy league school anywhere in the US. The faculty is helpful and the classes are challenging. The social life can be harsh. I recommend that you get involved as soon as you arrive. (especially if you are coming from out of state: the south or west coast) Fall semester is your only chance to find a click…so make sure you find one quickly. If you don't find one you can kiss your social life good bye. The greek life is like a HS within the university. The gossip, social rejection, drama, EVERYONE knows about everything that everyone in the greek community is doing or has done. If you are a guy…just don't get "blackballed" or else you will literally spend all of your time researcing where you are going to transfer next semester. I know the education is great but whats an education when you have not learned anything socially or established ANY future connections? I have never had a problem getting along with people and I am a very social person…I like going out and drinking on occasion…it's saturday night and I am sitting in my room! Trust my advice…Do not transfer here from out of state. |
