I started at NCState, thinking college was going to be a place to "broaden my horizons", and I was profoundly disappointed. The quality of education and the diversity of the student body is MUCH higher at DTCC. Widely ranging student body- many different ages, nationalities, religions, employment backgrounds… Wonderful educators who are teachers, not just tenured researchers, really make sure you know your stuff. Very helpful support staff. I lament the lack of wireless internet, but the campus computer labs are always up and running. And I'd encourage people to spend time on campus between classes, you'll meet a lot of nice, down-to-earth people. In science courses, more often than not, your professor supervises your lab AND there are microscopes for everyone! SUPERIOR value for the money. |
