Statistical Analyzer:

I strongly discourage anyone from coming to UH. If your looking for an education or a social life, avoid this place like the plague. The professors here have all mentally checked out and don't care about you or your education. The faculty and office employees are rude and aggravated all the time. This is a commuter school so the campus is deserted after 5pm. The dorms are falling apart, the buildings are ancient, but the campus nature is nice. Everyone working for the school has no idea what is going on, you will be nickel and dimed for everything, and racism is wonderful part of everyday aloha.

As for the surrounding areas, they are usually nice. It is easy to get to the beach and there is lots of shopping. Traffic is insane! There is however nothing to do after awhile. You can only play tourist for so long.

As for the people, they are decent as a whole, but everyone is so close minded and defensive it makes things hard. Race and heritage are a big deal, so if you are coming from out of state be prepared to handle this.

Overall if your looking to escape to a beach and go to school at the same time, try somewhere else.
