Being from California, I find that after spending four years here, I have become depressed and have been in a suicidal state of mind. I too was also quite pleased with Georgetown to begin with, but then again, how we perceive things is often related to our current state of mind. Maybe I'm just in a bad mood right now :-D. Another problem I have with this school is its deficiency in math and science. Given that math is a universal law and language, I cannot quite comprehend how it is not emphasized. The library is the ugliest interpretive piece of art I have ever witnessed. I actually cannot study there. Long story short: needs more mathematical structure to the school (beauty in math). I was also unfortunately separated from my class my freshman year and put into a sophomore and junior dorm with scant other freshman. I was harassed and alcohol is way too prevalent here. Apparently it is new and exciting to most of Georgetown's students. I'm Irish, I'm used to it. |
