I have friends from all over the world and from all walks of life. I was able to be creative and take on any kind project that inspired me in or outside of the classroom. If I wanted to join a club, I could without having to jump through hoops to get in or get a seat in the office. Professors go out of their way to help you and to offer classes and lessons that spark your interest. In high school I took a class in philosophy and was especially drawn to exestentialism. My freshman year I asked the philosopy Professor if they offered that class; they didn't. Two years later he held that class because he knew I was interested in it, it was both a sucessful and very interesting class. I am now starting graduate school at Columbia, and I hope the experience there is equal to that I got at Bridgeport. |
