I graduated in 07' from the illustration department. My experience at CCAD was very challenging and very rewarding. It is a "great school". Other than the faculty, which for the most part was exceptional, I came out realizing the flawed mentality of the student body (or of artists of this generation). Students believe that their "talents" excuse them of steady work ethic. Many of my classmates left CCAD bitterly blaming the school for not finding them jobs. That is ridiculous, because most of the people I know that did not find jobs were the same people that ignored lectures and half-assed assignments. I now work with other exceptional artists from a small 2 year technical college. CCAD is a 4 year art school providing enough time to prepare any dedicated individual for the real world.
