It is low residency, meaning you only spend about 10 days each term on campus, and then you do your work on your own with the help of an adviser. The adviser you choose each term is the key to the challenge of your program, as some know the requirements and are more engaged with your work than others. You MUST be self-directed to get a good education here, as what you put in is what you get out. The packets can be as creative as you want to make them, but you must fulfill the requirements. The feedback is not as detailed from some advisers as it should be unless you pursue it. During the residencies, you make a lot of friends, thanks to email and phone calls, you are able to keep up with those who come from far away, and it is always great to see them each quarter. This school is perfect for someone who can meet deadlines, study on their own and be creative in planning their own program. It is a wonderful alternative to traditional schools. I am sooooo glad I chose Goddard. |
