I loved my time at Radford. The school has a great feel and professors are very accessible. The negative comments about the college come from students that wanted to go to a big school (VT) and didn't get in. I have friends that are veterinarians, lawyers, and one in medical school - all went to Radford an all could have gone to other universities. I have to admit that the administration at Radford has turned the local police against the students. Go have a beer off campus with a few friends and you will undoubtedly meet an undercover cop who will bust you! Go to VT and have a few beers and you will learn how to socialize and slowly become an adult. Blacksburg police treat the students like part of the community and in turn they are treated with respect. Radford cops sneak around trying to catch underage drinking—come on it's college guys! Meanwhile in town there are locals jumping the kids late at night as they try to get home from a friends house. If you had a beer at the friends house and you get robbed, there is no way you will contact the police. Thanks Radford cops for targeting the big problem—underage drinking and isolating the students that are being robbed and raped, but my have had a few beers. My advice - Radford is a nice college surrounded by a lousy town! |
