If you aren't much of a partier, don't worry, you will find others who share your interests. But, on the other hand, most people who say they LOVE U of A, are the ones that party and don't really emphasize on the fact that Tuscaloosa isn't the best of areas. I lived in an apartment that was very nice, but less than 1/2 mile from the project housing-no joke. The Greek life does run the university, but most people do it to meet people and then lose interest. I've met a lot of great people, but decide that being on campus 4 hours a day vs. the rest of the time I spend worrying about my environment isn't worth it. I've decided to transfer. Football season is great though! I never liked football in general until I went there but the memories I made with my friends will stick forever! |
