The professors are very smart and most are great teachers. the students are diverse, intelligent, down-to-earth, and very interesting. Of course, like any other school, it's not right for everyone, but for the right student it's a very welcoming and nurturing environment. It's especially well suited for students who are not sure what career path they want to follow since it gives you the chance to explore. Also I really recommend joining a sports team, music group, etc. (even if you have no experience) because having that community is really nice. All those who have commented on this website that there's no social life or it's terrible seem to me to not be trying hard enough—it's really not very hard given the smallness of the school and classes. For the right person, I highly recommend Swarthmore. |
