Statistical Analyzer:

Antioch is for people who have started college somewhere else and want to finish. It doesn't really have a campus; it is simply two floors in an office building. Nevertheless, I had a much more challenging and rewarding experience there than I had at either UCLA or UCSC (my previous schools). They are extremely supportive of their students. Grades are nearly irrelevant (except for those requiring them for graduate work at other schools), and you will pass your classes if you show up and turn in the work. You will be challenged at whatever level you come in and will leave changed for the better (sounds cultish, but that's how I see it). I went on to get an MA there and couldn't have gotten better preparation for the work I want to do anywhere. If you don't take yourself and your work seriously, Antioch might seem like a joke because no one will punish you for goofing off or being cynical. If you take advantage of what they offer, you can get a first rate education without the hazing and bureaucratic nonsense found at most universities.
