Statistical Analyzer:

I attended Tech for almost 4 years, and I still can't decide if I love or hate it. The administration needs a complete overhaul, and the financial aid office doesn't know how to do their job—work with WVU's office if you can (Tech's so-called "loan guru" doesn't know much information about loans, other than there's some brochures lying around her office). However, I loved my department, and the people there would do anything they could to help me.

The social life at Tech could be a lot better. However, most students still live at home, and most commute from considerable distances. Those living in the dorms often go home on weekends. The student organizations DO try to hold events, it's just the student body is overall apathetic. Most students join their major's organization. I do recommend joining an organization other than your major's, that's one of the few ways to meet other people on campus.

There is Greek Life, it's really small. There are two sororities (one local, one national), and 4 fraternities (3 national, 1 local.). I do recommend looking into them, because many of the brothers/sisters have very close relationships and many keep in touch well beyond graduation.
Most of my classmates from my major are in good jobs that pay very well. Tech may not be the best place to be at, but it's a great place to be from.
