I attended an Ivy Leage college on an academic scholarship. This large, 2 year university, has an open admissions policy. The quality of student ranges fromHow did that person get out of high school?to brilliant. Most introductory courses are taught at a very easy level. In contrast, my Physics 2211 course was every bit as challenging and competitive as MIT or Cal Tech. Professor Okafor was a hard, but fair, taskmaster and interacted with the class of about 20 students. He was readily accessable to discuss any problem at length.With tuition almost being free, this college is a good place to start, before transferring to a four year university, which may have tuition and fees of $35,000. |
