I have a degree in professional photography from McIntosh College. A lot of student claim they can't use their degree from this college, but from my experience they only say that because they don't want to move on to better things. I know that if I stay in NH, I won't be able to use my degree either. My current job is completely unrelated to my degree. In March, 2009, I plan on continuing my education and moving on to another arts school. There, combined with my degree in photography I have now, I know that if I work just as hard as I did at McIntosh, I will have a very happy and successful life. Just like with anything, you have to make the best out of what you have, and you have to work for what you want in life. I know the kinds of students who go to McIntosh College, and a lot of them chose that school as an "easy way out." That college has an amazing photography program, and the professors in the photography department are some of the most amazing people that I know. And I know them very well from working closely with them as a student and a co-worker. I helped run the photo department while I went to school there, and I know the ins and outs. It's very sad to see it come to an end. So if you're going to sit there and knock the college down a few levels, you may want to re-evaluate what effort you're putting into your own education there.
