If it wasn't the cheapest around they would be shut down. Beware of the RN program. It is very disorganized and many of the staff are not helpful and condescending. Some seem to want you to fail and treat you like children. During the second semester, attendance is VERY strict. You can only miss one or two days period for the whole semester or be dropped from the program. If you are going to make it through this program, you need to be strong willed. The academics is not a problem if you are reasonably intelligent, but you have to have confidence and stick up for yourself a lot. They are not going to hold your hand through the program at all. So, if you are going to go here you better go into it wanting it really bad and don't let them bully you. Also, beware of the other departments, because you are not going to get much help from fin. aide, business office, etc., and they are quite rude to be honest, almost all the staff. My teachers for prereqs were all awesome, but most of the others wouldn't give you the time of day. Finally, beware of parking. If you go during popular times there won't be ANY spaces and you will be late to class unless you allow for this, and let me tell you nobody inside cares about it and teachers don't let you use it as an excuse. If you still decide to go to Tri-C, good luck!!! |
