There are a few pluses about the school and several minuses. One plus is that the school is cheap, the minus is you get what you pay for. Luther Rice is also conveniently located east of Atlanta, the minus Luther Rice is East of Atlanta in Lithonia and it depends on which side of the tracks you are on. If one is going to go to Luther Rice for an undergraduate degree you should know that going into graduate and post-graduate work is difficult. Luther Rice fails horribly at scholarly work, and is looked down on by the world of academia. Every class is either Christology or soteriology, and the students there argue about the validity of Church History. If you want a first class education Luther Rice is not for you. However, if you desire to go into work as a southern baptist pastor, Luther Rice may be where you should go! The staff was always nice, and I never met a mean student. I heard several conversations where students had decided who was saved and who was not, but other than that as long as they thought you were one of them they were nice. |
