No/invalid Email Address left Colorado Technical University is a diploma mill. They were in 1998-2000 when I attended, and no doubt still are. It is an overpriced 'private university'. While the introductory computer science courses are adequate (Deitel & Deitel seems to be a favorite of their's), the staff is sub-par in both experience and ability to teach. I fondly remember one professor who was fresh out of the NAVY. She had been doing SQL reports while in the military, and was teaching a C++ course. At the beginning of the semester she talked about how we would all be working on an elevator program by the end of the semester. The problem is that most of the students were long gone by then, and she had completely failed to progress the remaining students to the point that they could even begin to write an elevator program. I'll give her one thing, though. She had a beautiful body, seemed students were more interested in watching her bend over to pick up the chalk on the floor, than actually listening to her. Seriously, most ever technical class I took was a power point presentation, beginning to end. There was little real instruction going on, and more than once professors would start a semester out by saying that we'd be doing this and that, and by the time the semester was coming to a close, the professor seemed desperate for it all to end. |
