While it may not be the most well known university in general, within the world of philosophy Biola is a force to be reckoned with. Philosophy graduates routinely receive placement in top programs, including USC, Notre Dame, Yale, Harvard, Princeton etc. The community at Biola is fantastic, although this is NOT the place to come if you are not serious about exploring the cross roads between faith and reason. There isn't another school in the country that offers a prestigious degree in conjunction with an educational perspective that, while rigorous and challenging, begins with the assumption that there is a God and He matters. I don't see how any person of faith could choose to attend a university that begins the entire premise of their education by flatly denying God's existence and contradicting their most sacred of beliefs. Biola is amazing and I'm so happy to see it growing stronger every day. |
