I had my doubts going there because I grew up in Olympia, but as of right now, I'm super attached. It's a very inviting and liberating environment. The campus is such a different world from the city of Olympia, and it's kinda far out in the woods, which can be some-what sketchy at times. I love everything about it. Students actually care. Majority of the students that I met really do want to do something with their lives and make a difference. There's a pattern that I've been noticing; a lot of students were not going to go to college but then applied to Evergreen, got in, and are loving it. For a lot of people this was the ONLY school they applied to. They all do really well here. The professors are amazing. So approachable. So intelligent. Definitely liberal. There's no alternative view for the most part. I think the theme of most Evergreen's programs is power and "the man."If you give this school a chance, you will aboslutely love it. I've met so many differnt types of people here, I don't even think there's a typical Greener anymore. |
