Suffolk U isn't that horrible. It's like a small school for people who really do wish to work and study because there's really no room for partying. The social life is in school with study groups.

I've had experienced with both business school professors and CAS school professors my freshman year when I was still undecided. Let me inform you that the science professors seem a lot more competent and down to Earth than the business professors. Hence I became a science nerd. Professors in the Chemistry Department are there in the labs or their offices 24/7 if you just want to drop in with your questions and theories.

In general I landed with professors who really take into account effort when they grade. If you show up in their lab or office once in awhile or ask great questions your grade gets bumped up half a grade. Generally, getting an A in the finals guarantees you an A for the semester because you prove to the professor you cared enough to study for their class in the end.

Unlike big schools, this small school is flexible and laid back. As long as you get work done it's fine. But if you decide to go to school to party and have fun in a back alley, SU is not for you.
