However, I'm considering transferring-I don't hate it here, but I feel as if I'm paying too much money for this education. My biggest complaint is the course selection-and not just for freshman year. WNEC is seriously lacking in its variety, sticking to very generalized courses. So you must be in the (very, very small) honors program to have a prayer in taking anything like cryptology..an example-there is ONE first level drawing class open for the entire school. Guess how fast the fills up. WNEC seems to be so structured (as a freshman you will be required to take first year sem, a 'discover youself' class and all of its programs like Laugh don't Drink etc etc.), and all of that frisbee throwing spontenaity is really almost non existent here (there's not even a real quad). There is no art, music loving community here at all-our orchestra has a staggering 12 members (there is no music or art major here). All in all if you like a conservative atmosphere go here, but if you want the collegiate freedom of the movies-good luck finding it at WNEC. |
