Be forewarned that this a catholic college. You have people going here that are so set in their ways, there is no point even trying to talk to them. Now don't get me wrong, I've met great friends here that I'm going to have for a lifetime, but a majority of people here are so innocent (clue-less?) about the real world because of the sheltered life they grew up in. Atchison doesn't have a social scene, you have to make your own fun. The sport teams here are ok, but it isn't a divison 1 school. The professors here really take the time to help you; all you have to do is ask. Since it is such a small school (2000 students total) in small town kansas, the minority rate is not that bad considering. I am the only full black girl enrolled here, but there are other black kids here. |
