I am a sophomore resident at Adelphi. I don't mean to "beat a dead horse," but college is really what you make of it and nothing else. I have known people who hate Adelphi and also those who love it. The key to either one of these groups is the crowd you fall into at Adelphi. Because of the relative small size of the campus, it tends to be very cliquey. Those who fall into the wrong crowd who do nothing but smoke everyday, will hate this school. Those who fall into the crowd of people who want to go out and have a good time will love this school. Because of this, I recommend you chose your friends here very carefully. There are a lot more negative people here than positive, but if you can find the good one's you'll be set. The classes here aren't that hard if you actually do the work. Most of the teachers are really helpful and nice but of course there are the few that are a nightmare.Overall, people usually gravitate to the extremes about Adelphi: hate it or love it. Find good friends who actually want to do stuff and actually do your work and you won't regret coming here. Good luck. |
