Yes, there are a few bad apples within the student body, and because we are so small it may seem to be a bigger presence. The fact is, you can easily avoid drama if you surround yourself with the right people. There are so many amazing young women here, and we all want to see each other succeed. Campus is amazing. It is lush and beautiful, while located in a quaint downtown area and a major city is just miles away. You do NOT need a car on campus as long as you are willing to walk or take MARTA. Unlike some women's colleges, men are easily accessible via Emory, Georgia Tech, or Atlanta. The great thing about ASC is its very academic atmosphere. I have never had to worry about being distracted by drunken parties across the hall, yet when I want to drink it is available. There are activities for every kind of student. There are multitudes of extracurriculars, and the college is always hosting events for students. If you're into the party-hard college scene, Georgia Tech and Emory are close and 21 year olds have the Atlanta bar scene to look forward to. And don't forget clubbing! The professors will know you by name and are always available. It is easy to feel smothered by seeing the same people on campus every day, but eventually it becomes comforting. The dorms are amazing! I can't say enough!Oh, and one last thing about the faculty. My dream is to go to a top Ivy for law, and my academic advisor is none other than the former dean of one. The education you get here and the connections you make will last a lifetime. |
