CCSF has a number of incredibly devoted professors, brimming with encouragement and optimism. The college attracts high quality, well educated teachers, with altruistic natures. However, a students experience here varies greatly, depending on personal drive and devotion. The professors can inspire you to discover your passion, and you may find yourself working harder than you thought possible to prepare yourself for your dream 4 year college. However, it is just as easy to find classes that offer no real struggle or insight, and act as a gateway to any old 4 year college with lax requirements. If you look for challenging and devoted teachers, you will find their expectations parallel those of the highest caliber universities. This said, it is a community college, and in so there are classes for students at any level, including basic skills, and those with multiple prerequisites. I give this college top marks, as it offers non traditional students (those who dont bounce from high school to college) a new way to view the world, and their place in it. |
