This school is not a college, it is more like a big high school where kids happen to live on campus. This school only cares about "the plan" for "what you are suppose to do." What I mean is all they preach is you come here, get good grades, get internships, network, get job, make money. That's all anyone cares about is making money and networking. Everyone has the exact same viewpoint on life. 90% of the kids are from NY-NJ-MA, and it's so frustrating. My freshman year that I attended classes all I did was "work the system" to get a 3.8 GPA. Despite that GPA I took nothing out of my classes it was a joke. I just said/did what I knew the teachers wanted to see/hear and that was good enough. The social life here is probably the biggest reason why I am transfering. All anyone does is play beer pong and party in their small little apartments spread over campus, and it almost seems like a competition to see who can get the most retardedly drunk and create fucked up drunken stories. It is literally the same damn thing every weekend. I actually joined a fraternity and that has helped the social scene a lot, but even still there are way more fraternities than sororities, the school hates greek life and is constantly suspending organizations of campus, and worst of all we don't have houses on campus so we have to designate people to "shuttle" for parties and its awful.Worst thing about social life is the guy to girl ratio. In my class its 70% guys, and in the school its about 65%. Girls have an absurd amount of power here. They control everything and guys are basically their bitches because they are in such high demand. I use to show up to parties with my best friend and six girls and we'd still get turned away. I can't wait to transfer to a better place DO NOT COME HERE. |
