CPCC is a great school especially for people who want to complete their degree through distance education. The area campuses vary in terms of the amount of resouces available and the overall condition of the campus. You definitly should expect to make a few trips to Central Campus regardless of which campus you take classes at. The Central Campus area is not a safe place to be at night, so I would strongly recommend to not take clases in the evening there. It's important to note that Elizabeth Ave. is closed for construction and this causes major problems getting into the campus. Parking is also a struggle at Central Campus. In terms of academics, the school really can't be beat. It provides three separate degree programs that transfer to all the schools in the UNC system as well as private colleges in the state. The cost per credit hour is entirely reasonable. The biggest issue I have with the school is not with the professors or customer service, but with the employees in the admissions/registration and academic advising departments. Some of them are very helpful, but some are miserable and generally unkind. |
