Liberty's VCAR department has absolutely NO emphasis on web design. When I graduated, I was offered a job as a web designer. I am grateful that my print portfolio was impressive enough to land the job, but I have had so much learning to do. I consider myself 75% self-taught. I am grateful for my professors, specifically Professor Edmund (they need more professors like him). Someone who teaches an extensive, detailed course in dreamweaver, html, css and web stands would be extremely helpful. Unfortunately, the school doesn't seem to see this major as important, so until they get some help the program won't get anywhere.I didn't plan on going to LU for web design, I was originally a nursing major. If I had known, I may have chosen an art school. |
