I don't agree with many of the comments being posted on this page. Fordham is an excellent school and I am quite happy to be here. It seems like most people are complaining about the neighborhood- yes, we are in the Bronx. It is nothing like the small-minded white-washed suburbs that many of the students come from. It may be a culture shock at first, but it is a fascinating, diverse, great place. Just practice some precaution and you will be fine. Manhattan is quite accessible (by ram vam, metro north, or subway) and I usually go in a few times a week. Also, you must come in knowing that you have a two-year core to fulfill. Don't complain and moan through it- some of the classes are quite interesting, taught by excellent faculty members. Also, get involved with campus ministry or Global Outreach- you will meet some of the most fascinating people in your life and grow from it. Fordham is an excellent place and I am constantly thankful to be here. |
