Professors take a personal interest in their students and are always available for help. The Engineering and Physics courses were pretty challenging, the General Education courses were fairly easy. I came here after attending a college weekend because the people are very friendly. Of course, there are the self-righteous and snooty rich kids, but they can be avoided. I attended a secular high school where my beliefs were constantly under attack, so ORU was a breath of fresh air. I took every opportunity that I could with Summer Missions changing my life and my world-view forever. ORU had won the ASEE State Senior design championship for several years in a row including my year. I had no problem finding a job at a large fortune 500 company after graduation, and was told later that a strong character and honest interview made up for my lack of experience. In addition I met my wife at ORU and we are happily married and plan to encourage our children to attend. Hopefully the academics will stay up to par. |
