As an Aeronautical Science major I found that flying with Riddle is ridiculously over priced and very repetitive. You do the same lesson over and over again, when you think your progressing your really not. The degree is rather useless as it has no real world use outside of flying. With the shape the industry is in and current recession, I would not recommend the ERAU name simply because of the cost. Especially for incoming freshman's.. Students who go to say, UND will be in the exact same situation as a ERAU graduated except they will have only payed roughly 100 grand as opposed to 200 grand. As for the school grounds, they are decent but small. The internet provided by ResNet is terrible & slow and the food is horrible. Everyday you'll find yourself going to the cafeteria eating the same thing day after day. Campus Life on ERAU AZ is pitiful, everybody is always to themselves and stays in there room 24/7. As for the percentage of males/females. Honestly its like 95% males to 5% females. The term "Riddle Vision" pops up in every guys head once he sees any girl on this campus. The community outside Riddle is also boring and will drive you nuts after a couple of months. Prescott, AZ is primarily a retirement town with nothing whatsoever to do for college students. My only recommendation to prospective students is this, don't be blinded by the ERAU advertisements, and fully investigate ALL other options and schools before committing yourself down this path.Currently I transferred to another flight school and enjoying ever moment. Also cheaper for my wallet to! |
