If you are a prospective student reading this, make sure you talk to real Dickinson kids about it. I would estimate that 80% of students are really happy to be there. The school is expensive. Very expensive. This is the biggest drawback. However, I feel as though the money is at least mostly being used on you- you can take out vans with gas credit cards and drive them anywhere you want, go abroad and see the world, interact with some pretty intelligent faculty, host a concert or movie night with a school grant, etc. I haven't always felt great about the school, but now as an incoming senior I can really say that it's been an awesome experience. The best part is that since it's (relatively) hard to get in, the students you meet there are universally intelligent, not hit or miss like you get at many schools. |
