The problem in Texas could have been much worse if not for the site director in San Antonio. I have no idea what their problems were and don't care. All I wanted to do was finish my degree. I had no idea what a SOC contract was and Dr. Phelps said I probably came from Montgomery because they were notorious for not doing the right thing. He helped me get my SOC contract and because they were not allowed to teach in Texas, he showed me what colleges to use and then transfer the courses back to Troy. He had me send my transcripts to the main campus and not Montgomery, because he said they would never be seen again if they went to Montgomery. I finished up with Park, transferred my stuff to Troy, and got my degree. I was disappointed that I could not walk the stage, but they didn't have graduation ceremonies in Texas for obvious reasons. Later I approached Dr. Phelps about getting a Troy masters online. He said that was an option, but that I should back up my Troy bachelors with a better masters. I narrowed my options to Norwich and Boston University. I would never have known about either if I had not talked to Dr. Phelps. He also told me that the site was closing, but would reopen later. I heard they have a site in San Antonio now, but I'm much more satisfied with my masters from Norwich. Actually, I was glad to wash my hands of Troy after the trouble they caused me.
