I would like to address the author of the most recent negative comment. First off, why would come all the way from California to study psychology at FAU? FAU's Psychology department is good but not well known or prestigious by any means. Next, why is it the job of professors to inform students about grad school? Grad school isn't for everyone and if students want to pursue it they will. FAU put their graduate admissions office right at the student services building, YOU CAN'T MISS IT! I think it's a little unfair for you to call FAU as a whole a "bad" school because you had a bad experience in a mediocre major to begin with. FAU is known for engineering (Ocean to be specific), Business (The Bary Kayne school of Business was just named by Forbes magazine as being one of the best choices in the country), and of course Accounting (6th best CPA program in the country, the drop out rate is around 64%). Are there snobby people at FAU? Yeah of course but that's going to happen at every college campus. It tends to be a little bit more prevalent here because Boca Raton is a rich city to begin with. Also, i know for a fact FAU doesn't charge 35K a year for out of state tuition. It's more along the line of 14-22K depending on your living arrangements. So maybe you should think about the situation you put yourself in before you blame FAU for everything.
