SVC gave me a very solid basis for learning and growing and had a reasonable reputation when I graduated. They were going through an identity crisis then but have seemed to regain a sense of purpose and seem to be committed to growing their academic and cultural reputation. There are many first rate colleges and universities in Western PA so competition is fierce, but in my opinion, St. Vincent is heading in the right direction without giving up on their core principles.

The campus is beautiful but small, so if you want a city social life, go to Duquesne.

My experience with SVC as an alumnus has been tremendous and the overwhelming majority of SVC alums I meet are very proud of their ties to the school.
