Statistical Analyzer:

I fell in love with Ole Miss because the campus is beautiful, and the academic programs are supposed to be very good. I had applied and gotten into other more competitive schools and chose Ole Miss over them because when I visited everyone seemed friendly and it seemed like the perfect school for me.

However, what they DON'T tell you when you look at the school is the complete lack of social activities and student organizations. They tell you that there are over 200 orgs, but what they don't say is that the majority of those are greek life or pre-professional orgs. Every weekend I find myself sitting in my dorm room because most peopl are out partying… I am completely bored out of my mind and quite frustrated because I know that this is not what college is supposed to be like.

ADVICE to future students:

If you are not into partying or greek life, you may want to reconsider coming here unless you'll be perfectly happy sitting in your dorm room all weekend. As I said, the majority of the people here go out on the weekends to the bars (they have a bus system that takes students to and from the bars!) and participate in greek life… if you are lookin for a school that has great academics and a great social life/student orgs, this is NOT the school for you.

I'm seriously considering transfering out after this year. I'm misrable here because I'm sick of sitting around with nothing to do.
