The faculty is incredibly accessible and friendly. After four years, you should have a great list of references because the professors really care about getting to know you and invest in your future. The classes were very small (The largest class I had was 35 students and that was considered quite big).Service is a huge aspect at Villanova and whether you think you're into community service or not, go for it anyway. You will meet people you would not normally meet and make friendships that will last a lifetime. Even if you don't, the service opportunities allow you to go places you would have never gone before, whether it's Northeast Philly or Ecuador. A huge percentage of the students at VU have the "save the world" mentality, and honestly, that's great. That's something to be proud of.Basketball season. I don't even have to elaborate on how great it is. It just speaks for itself. Even though the football team is DI-AA, they're good, so attending football games are a lot of fun too, so don't count them out. From the outside looking in, Villanova might seem to be filled with white, snobby, rich kids, but everyone really brings something new to the table and you learn a lot from each other. And at the end of the day, if you have Villanova University at the top of resume, that makes all the difference and that's what you are going to school for in the long run - to get the good job. |
