This school simply prepares you for nothing in the outside competitive world. But this fact means nothing to the student body as they were the most apathetic and unambitious group of slackers I've ever met. Hardly anyone seemed to give any thought to what they would do after graduating. Plans and goals centered on if the weather was nice enough to go windsurfing or where the next party was going to be rather than a career focus. Not to mention the whole "employers value a liberal arts education" mantra the administration constantly repeated. No, an employer doesn't give any value to someone with no specific skill sets and a degree from a school that's little known even in state and unknown completely outside Maryland. I transferred because I knew that if I didn't have a degree from a more competitive and focused institution I'd be run over in the real world. |
