I agree with those who found BU to be uninviting. It feels like they have done all the work to gain a public stigma, and once they got it gave up on trying to please anyone cause they knew all the stupid rich kids would think anything was great, since the went to BU!! (be you....good luck with that here) i AM a number, i cannot do anything without my stupid ID, the security guards are jerks, the girls dress up to go to the grocery store, the boys all dress the same and the rest of them are "intellectuals" but what does that really mean anyways? so you can memorize and know how to follow directions. I often find myself wondering if i am special in any way at all. i have 5 friends here and have tried to join clubs and talk to people but it seems like they don't need any more friends and the clubs take themselves pretty seriously (i.e photo club...don't bother joining without your 700 dollar SLR digital camera) the only thing i'll miss is boston. they don't even let you into concerts for free.
