Chances are, if you're going to Landmark it's not by choice. Most kids go to Landmark because their parents hear its the only college that caters to learning disabilities and have the money to send them there.

Landmark offers an associate degree which in turn means that courses here are not as specific and don't go as in-depth as they do at a four year university. Landmark is meant to prepare students for the accelerated coursework and responsibility required by a four year university. The classes are small and individual attention from faculty is always available. The teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful. Many of them have worked at previous universities before Landmark so they are experienced and well-versed in their field. It is easy to skate by at Landmark without doing much work at all so you need to push yourself if you care about developing as a student.

Don't expect much from the social life here. Many of the students have social issues and are unapproachable. If you like anime, videogames and prefer to stay indoors you will have no problem making friends here. The campus is simply too small for parties so the only chance that happening is if you know someone who lives in a house off-campus. Because of this, lots of kids smoke bud but if you're not into that scene, it won't be an issue for you.

During my two years, I left campus as much as possible and went to Boston, Northhampton, Burlington, Keene and other more urban areas to have a good time. Having a car is extremely key at Landmark because the town of Putney is about 2,000 people and located in the middle of nowhere vermont. The location is perhaps the best and worst part of the school. If you like the outdoors and being in nature, this place is awesome. There are tons of waterfalls, mountains, lakes, forest etc to explore. However, it also sucks because due to the location, there are very few things to do socially outside campus.

Like any college, Landmark is truly what you make of it. I have had some awesome teachers here and learned a lot about myself. But be warned: if you tend to have a bad attitude or are closed minded, this school will be a miserable experience for you.
