I went to Orgsmorg (a huge fair where all of the student organizationss on campus recruit new students) and signed up for as many things as I found interesting. I got to know a lot of people who were interested in the same things I was. My department was small but it was intimate. We got to know the professors and they even hosted events at their homes. It was amazing they knew what my potential was and they were able to push me to succeed to my potential. The more active and involved I became, the more I grew to love the university, my fellow students, the professors, and the community. LOVED the bathrooms in the Residence Halls. And LOVED the tunnels that connect all of the academic buildings.Beautiful campus if you like the nature scene. If you're looking for an urban setting - this is not it. (But I LOVE IT).I recommend getting involved - if you stay in your room and wait for something to come to you - it won't happen and you won't like it at UWGB. |
