Statistical Analyzer:

The University of Pittsburgh is a great school for both average students and exceptional students. The education received is well worth the affordable price paid, especially if you can get a scholarship. The Engineering department is very competent and state of the art engineering buildings are almost complete. You will work as an engineer at Pitt (most likely much more than your fellow classmates), but in the end you will realize how much this will benefit you when you have exceptional talents, work habits, and a secure job as an engineer.

As a whole, Pitt will provide you with a great college experience. Embedded in the great city of Pittsburgh, Pitt resides in it's own community known as Oakland. The hustle and bustle you will see every day will be of students, professors, and faculty, not businessmen and working adults. The social scene at Pitt is great. Living in Towers you will meet innumerable people and will truly be exposed to "college." Parties are very easy to find Thurs-Saturday. Kids do not party every day of the week as is the common misconception and almost everyone I have met is more concerned with their school work. Pitt will truly give you that college experience you envisioned in your mind while sitting through that boring history class in high school. Athletics are also a huge part of the school. My best memories thus far are from Pitt basketball and football games. Tailgating HOURS before football games, making signs, body paint, and the crazy student sections makes for a great sports experience that many other universities don't have. Pitt is an all-around great school, combining great academics, athletics, location, and student body. You will find everything you need and want from your college experience at Pitt. Hail to Pitt!
