It wasn't a slight against Drexel, but against Philadelphia, which is (in my opinion) a filthy, unwelcoming city, despite it's "Brotherly Love" trademark. I was accepted by Pitt's School of Engineering, but I eventually switched to the College of Arts and Sciences, where I obtained my B.A. in History. I enjoyed my major classes more than the general education classes. In general, the upper level courses were the most challenging and interesting, though my Spanish I and II classes were amazing, as well. The city of Pittsburgh is a rather friendly city. I often took walks around campus and the surrounding neighborhoods by myself after dark, and not once was I ever harassed or even bothered. The bus system is comprehensive and rides are free for all Pitt students. The campus and faculty are both wonderful. I'm currently attending graduate school here, and I have no regrets about my return to Pitt. |
