SCHOOL:

The worst experience of my life. I can't transfer out this semester because grades were not turned in on time. The staff is nice, but not really helpful at all. No one seems to know anything. The Education department is HORRIBLE. I feel like I did not learn anything. If I were to teach after attending this University I would be clueless. They don't believe in following a syllabus which makes things very confusing. They don't seem to know the answers to anything you ask. They also informed me that in order to graduate in a timely manner I need to take at least 18 credit hours a semester! THAT IS RIDICULOUS! So much for working if you go to SEU! You will spend all of your time in chapel and doing your homework for your seven classes!

CAMPUS:

The campus is beautiful. DON'T LET THAT FOOL YOU! LOOKS AREN'T EVERYTHING! They have music that seems to play 24/7. It's nice at first, but gets real old after a week.

RULES:

THe rules were a bit much. I understand the basic rules like not drinking and what not but NOT BEING ABLE TO WEAR SHORTS IN THE SUMMER IN FLORIDA IS RIDICULOUS! I wear shorts and tank tops to church for goodness sakes! It seems like it is a sin to breathe at this school! THEY GET YOU FOR EVERYTHING! By going to chapel three times a week, I stopped attending church and actually grew further away from God during my time here.

CHRISTIAN LIFE:

Chritians?! FAKE ONES! They only seem into appearences and if they are living the correct "christian lifestyle". They don't actually act like Christians unless they just forgot to read that stuff in the Bible about being kind, not judging others and treating others the way you want to be treated. All of the girls were extremely snobby. My group of friends disowned me because I dated a boy who they didn't find "good enough". After this my group of friends informed me that by dating him the devil was in me! SERIOUSLY?! SERIOUSLY?! WOW! That is all I have to say about that! I had no friends by the end of the semester because apparently the devil was in me..I really didn't find this to be Christian behavior and by the end of my term here stopped going to church completely. There seems to be some nice clubs, but like everything else they just seem fake to me. Very few of the students seem to be loving, real, christian people.

LAKELAND:

Basically the most disgusting city in the world. Well maybe not the world, but it is disgusting! I've lived here all my life and can't wait to get out! I love how people from SEU that come here from the north think it is country! DEFINATELY NOT! Maybe ten years ago, but not now! There is nothing to do. I don't mean just shopping or eating! I love the outdoors. Camping, fishing, hunting, four-wheeling are some of my favorite things. You can't do it in Lakeland. Unless you know someone with some land. Therefore, not only can you not shop or eat, but you can't enjoy the outdoors either! I CANT WAIT TO GET OUT!

All in all Southeastern was a horrible experience and a complete waste of my parents money. I did not learn one thing. The only class I felt I learned anything in was my one religion class. That class was wonderful. Everything else was not! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DON'T GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE A PREACHER!
