I started at the at of 18 and due to the loose structure, found myself in a position where I had no other option than to take sink or swim - my own level of self motivation and responsibility forces me to the later. After my first year in a standard undergraduate program, I moved toward computer science and found the professors in these programs to be quite knowledgeable, able, and very good at guiding both standard educational programs as well as facilitating student's own direction and interest as it applied to the the CS major.Overall, as with all schools - there is no one size fits all, when it came to Evergreen for me, I felt that I grew up there to a point and became self-sufficient enough to move to San Francisco, procure a good role in a great company and keep myself in a good place. |
