Statistical Analyzer:

Embry-Riddle is not as bad as some people make it seem. Overall, I would describe this college as a smaller, more technical school. The campus is beautiful; most of the buildings are newer and have more modern facilities, and the buildings that aren't so new are in excellent shape for their age. The classes are small, usually anywhere from 15 to 50 people, which is good because you get a lot of individual attention compared to state schools. The extracurricular activities are pretty cool, there's all kinds of sports (everything you can think of except football), greek fraternities and sororities, and aviation clubs of course, both military and civilian. Most students are pretty nice, even if some of them are a bit arrogant. And, most professors have a PhD in their subjects and are more than qualified to teach their subjects and will give you individual help.

Personally, I love it here and I can't really understand why the men complain so much. There are plenty of attractive women on campus and in Daytona Beach, they are just too busy bitching about the lack of women to notice the high-quality ones sitting in front of them. A lot of them have a girlfriend, either here or at home. Yes, we do have some nerdy gamers here, but what school doesn't? The tuition is high, I think maybe because it's a private institution and it doesn't receive much state funding. Anyone who claims that ER isn't a top-notch school or doubts it's influence in the Aviation profession is sadly mistaken; all branches of the military give more pilot slots to ERAU ROTC cadets than any other college (besides maybe the University of South Dakota), all of our ROTC's are excellent, and most pilots have pretty decent jobs after graduation. Not to mention that the Aerospace Engineering program is the best in the country.

Bottom line-if you're looking for a college where you're going to go out partying and getting laid by a different girl every night then Embry-Riddle isn't for you. However if you are looking for a good education and are serious about entering the Aviation field, either civilian or military, than you would want to consider this place seriously.
